Subject: Don't Forget!!!
Dear Parents,
Well school is back in session. For some there is a sigh of releif I'm sure, even if you do have to put up with the complaints of your children. Don't forget that Wednesday Night Youth Group starts back up as well tomorrow night at Defer Intermediate School in Streetboro. There are also plenty of other opportunities for family members on Wednesdays as well. The womens Bible study with Karen McClellan. The fatherhood study with Bill Merkle. Kids in Christ with Paul Gardner. There will also be a nursery provided for the little ones. Not to memtion the Clump and worship team practice.
The Youth are going to kick off tomorrow night with a photo scavenger hunt around the Streetboro area. Each team will have a disposable camera as well as a list of pictures that they must get, such as the whole team with the greeter at Walmart... Only staff will be driving, and the team that crosses the most pictures off their list will win, contingent on the proof, which will be verified next week. This is a two-parter so please remind your students to come back next week as well. This is a great opportunity for students to get to know each other and build some good memories together. It's also a fun way to start getting back into the habbit of Wednesday nights.
Next week we will start our new series on the 10 Commandments. (I bet you can't guess how long that will last) We'll evaluate what the New Testament says about them and whether or not they apply to us today.
We also continue to work our way through 'More Than a Carpenter' on Sunday mornings for both Jr High and High school ages.
